(Organizational Analysis of Attitude Perception of Employees Against Change With Demographic Difference: An Aplication in the Aviation Sector)

Purpose – In general, businesses continue their activities with many effects of change. Enterprises are obliged to continue their journey with employees who will adapt to these effects. The purpose of the study, prepared with this imperative perspective, is to examine whether there is a significant difference in the attitudes of employees towards change in the organizational environment in terms of demographic characteristics. On the basis of the concept of change, organizational change and attitude towards change are emphasized. Then the importance of demographic differences is addressed for this purpose. Design/methodology/approach – The study is carried out in the aviation sector around Istanbul with 417 people with different expertise and features. In the study, the survey method, which is the primary data collection tool, is applied. The obtained data is transferred by Anova and T-test, which is one-way analysis of variance in SPSS program. Findings – It is understood that the employees differ towards change in gender, age, experience and education. Discussion – Businesses achieve their goals through their employees. However, these employees are not homogeneous in terms of personality, ability and expertise. Therefore, understanding what features each employee differs in adapting or resisting changes in the industry can provide important clues for businesses to gain competitive advantage. As a matter of fact, in the study, it is understood that there are differences in employees’ attitudes towards change in terms of demographic characteristics.
