Organizational justice, Job performance, MersinAbstract
Purpose - In this research, it is aimed to determine the effect of organizational justice perceived by bakery staff on job performances. Design/methodology/approach - The data collection process, which took place through questionnaires between May 2017 and October 2017, was applied with convenience sampling technique and face-to-face contact technique. 295 usable questionnaires were collected from 91 bakery businesses. During the analysis process, descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equitation modeling (SEM) were used. Findings - As a result of hypothesis testing, it is understood that while distributive and procedural justice have no significant effect on job performance (p≥0,05), interactional justice has significant and positive effect on job performance (β0=0,58, p≤0,05). Discussion – Although there are many studies in the literature on organizational justice and job performance, no study has been conducted on bakery workers. The research findings are not exactly similar to any research in the literature. It contributes to the literature by revealing that interactional justice is a critical variable for the employees of the bakery business where production and service delivery are carried out together.
