Abstract

Purpose – Housing financing is a key function in providing the needed credit to individuals for housing, as well as for the purchase of investment housing. The research aims to demonstrate customers' view of the choice of residential financing models offered by depository banks, participation banks, and the collaborative system. Design/ methodology/ approach – The research used "Housing Financing Preference Scale" developed by Gunel (2021) as a data collection tool and a personal information form created by researchers. Research is the identifying research. In Sivas, Kayseri and Yozgat (TR72 Region), a total of 440 people who live in the provinces of Sivas, Kayseri, and Yozgat (TR72 Region) are working groups, with easy sampling and a total of over-40 being reached face-to-face or on-line. The survey was conducted from 22.05.2021-15.07.2021. The data was analyzed by the IBM SPSS 25.0 statistical packet program. Kolmogorov-Smirnov Benefited from nonparametric statistical methods such as Mann Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis H, and Mann Whitney U Test with Bonferroni Correction because the data did not normally distribute. Findings – The study concluded that there were significant differences in housing finance preferences of participants according to age, education, city, marital status, home ownership, monthly average household income, and operating procedure variables of the financing institutions and financial institutions, and no significant difference compared to gender and occupational status variables. Discussion – This research has shown that literature is supported. Should they improve the quality of the service offered and provide financing conditions for their customers based on their income status, consumers will have a positive impact in their preference for housing financing agencies. The institutions that finance housing should therefore help the clients meet demand and demand based on preference reasons, analyze the issues and develop new policies. The results of the analysis support these recommendations.
