Analysis of the Effects of Digital Transformation on Organizational Innovation: The Case of İstanbul Beylikdüzü Organized Industrial Zone

Purpose- The purpose of research is to analyze the effects of digital transformation on organizational innovation. In the literature review part of the study, the definition, importance and dimensions of digital transformation and organizational innovation will be discussed, and in the research part, the effects of digital transformation on tax innovation will be analyzed. In this context; the contribution of digital transformation to the personal development of employees, its contribution to their career development and its contribution to their work productivity will be investigated. Design/methodology/approach – In this research, the "Deductive Method" was used in writing the theoretical part and the "Relational Survey Method" was used for quantitative research in the application part, and the data of the study were obtained by conducting questionnaires. The first part of the questionnaire included demographic questions, the second part included the "Digital Transformation Scale" and the third part included the "Organizational Innovation Scale". In the research, a total of 560 people working in enterprises operating in Istanbul Beylikdüzü Organized Industrial Zone Birlik Sanayi Sitesi were surveyed and "Reliability Analysis", "Frequency Analysis", "Correlation", "Regression" and "Difference Analysis" were performed with the data obtained. Findings- As a result of the regression analysis conducted in this study, it was found that "Contribution to Personal Development", "Contribution to Career Development" and "Contribution to Work Productivity", which are the dimensions of digital transformation, have a positive supportive effect on organizational innovation. Discussion- Innovative businesses that follow digital transformations and adapt to changing technologies can improve employee performance, increase customer satisfaction, increase productivity, improve product-service quality, succeed in competition and continue their activities efficiently. Therefore, this study was conducted with the idea that applied researches prepared to increase the effects of digital transformation on organisational innovation and to improve university-industry cooperation can provide significant benefits to the field.
