Purpose – The aim of this study is to determine to what extent lawyers' perceptions of professional image affect their chronic fatigue levels and what role lawyers' psychological resilience levels play in such an effect.
Design/methodology/approach – In the first part of the study, the relevant literature on the variables subject to the research was reviewed and the theoretical foundations of the variables were discussed. In the second part of the study, the data obtained from 261 lawyers affiliated to Erzurum Bar Association through the questionnaire method were subjected to statistical analysis in SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 24 programs, and the research model designed within the framework of the relevant literature was tested.
Results – In line with the results of the analysis, it was determined that the fit values for the structural model were at an acceptable level. The mediation effect related to the structural model was examined in line with the Bootstrap method. It was concluded that while the perception of professional image of lawyers decreases the level of chronic fatigue, this effect was mediated by psychological resilience and was significant (p<0.001).
Discussion – It was found that it is important to support lawyers' perceptions of professional image through psychological resilience in coping with their chronic fatigue.
