Abstract

The aim of this research is to reveal out a framework about how co-authorship constitutes in management and organization science and to reach detections via a detailed literature review. By this way, firstly a conceptual structure is formed based on the studies in the literature. “Reasons” and “results” of co-authorship and “production” and “method” in co-authorship studies are examined. Afterward, all studies reached about co-authorship in management and organization science are investigated and significant determinations are discovered. The detections (common findings) of all these researches can be classified as, “co-authorship studies which are written by two authors are dominated and cited more in the literature in comparison by the other co-authorship studies which are written by different amount of authors”, “authors collaborate with the ones having same features but also there is an increase in the number of authors whom collaborates with different kind of people”, “densities of co-authorship networks of reached studies are low”, there is a decrease in the ratio of isolated groups in co-authorship networks”, “the most successful researchers in the specified discipline are connected to each other and sometimes they become brokers in these co-authorship networks”.
