The Effect of Organizational Justice Perception on Cynicism: A Research in Vocational School of State Universities

Abstract

The primary purpose of this study was to investigate whether organizational justice perceptions have a significant effect on organizational cynicism. The universe of the research constitutes 986 instructors who work in social sciences vocational schools of state universities in Turkey. A full count was made and feedback was received from 400 participants. Survey form was used as data collection tool. The survey form consists of 3 parts. The questionnaire consists of 4 questions about demographic variables, 20 statements about organizational justice scale and 13 statements about organizational cynicism scale. Statistical package program was used for analysis of the data. In the analysis, correlation, regression and equality tests were used. As a result of data analysis, it has been found that there is a significant and negative relationship between organizational justice perception and organizational cynicism. When the dimensions of organizational justice perception is researched, no significant relation between procedural justice perception and organizational cynicism has found but it is determined that distributive and interactional justice have a negative and significant effect on organizational cynicism.
