Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to develop a scale that will measure psychological ownership, which is often the subject of investigations that affect employee attitudes and behaviors in the positive direction, in the organizational context. it has been thoroughly searched for this purpose in the related literature and it has been understood that a four dimensional structure can be formed. These dimensions are labeled as self-Identity, efficacy, protective focus and internal responsibility under the organizational level psychological ownership structure. In the second part of the research, has been establis- hed a pool of questions that are thought to explain their sub-dimensions based on theoretical links, the content validity of the question pool has been tested, surveyed and implemented and the results obtained from the questionnaire were tested for reliability, validity and suitability to factor structures. As a result of the analyzes, it is seen that the structure composed of 15 items and four dimensions is compatible with the determined four factorial structure. it is hoped that researchers who will work on psychological ownership will contribute thanks to the measurement tool developed specifically for these research results and empirical works will be provided for the theorization of psychological ownership.
