Evaluation of Relationship Between Coaching Provided to Personnel and Leadership Levels in Production Sector

Abstract

Coaching and leadership are two concepts increasing their importance and become important in business management. On the other hand, it is seen that these concepts have not been examined sufficiently and placed within contemporary applications in production sector. For this reason, it was aimed in this research to evaluate relationship between coaching provided to personnel and developed leadership levels. In this respect, total 403 automotive personnel working in different automotive sub-industry producing firms within Kocaeli City borders during first period of 2016 were subjected to survey. According to results of the study, coaching and leadership levels of personnel working at automotive sector were at moderate level in general. In addition, coaching and self-leadership levels did not showed statistically significant differences based on demographic properties (p>0,05). Similarly, according to correlation analysis, there was not a statistically significant correlation between coaching and self-leadership factors within the sample (p>0,05).
