Abstract

Purpose – The main objective of this study is to give an idea of pension investment decisions of individuals operating in Turkey guiding the company through the most appropriate pension companies. Design/methodology/approach – The research problem is the sequencing of private pension companies in line with certain criteria. The data set is the current data for the period of February 2019 belonging to five Private Pension Companies. Criterion weightings were calculated by face-to-face interviews with the individual and five individual pension counselors who planned to invest. The weights from the AHP Method were applied to the GRA method. Findings – According to the results of the survey, the most important criterion was ‘number of participants’ according to AHP Method. Discussion – the collected resources to invest in private pension company in Turkey, despite the state contribution is limited compared to OECD countries. This rate is higher among the main causes of the inflation rate in Turkey is limited and the average income is considered to be low. Findings from the study Genç et al. (2015), Dinçer, Görener (2011) and Ertuğrul, Öztaş (2016) show similarities with their studies. As the decision makers change, the criteria weights will change and the implementation results will be different.
