Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of organizational silence on jobsatisfaction of employees. Besides, in the scope of this study, differences between demographic characteristics of the participants and, organizational silence and jobsatisfaction level were also examined. In line with the aim of this research, data wereobtained from 138 bank employees in Ankara and Çankırı province. Based on theresults of the analysis, it has been determined that organizational silence weaklyimpacts the job satisfaction in negative direction. At the same time, significantcorrelations has been identified between the participants' age, marital status, titlevariables and lack of experience which is sub-dimension of organizational silence. It isdetermined that the job satisfaction level of participants vary according to maritalstatus and the title variable. The obtained results are discussed in the context of thestated meanings for researchers and practitioners.
