Abstract

Purpose – The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of nepotism and professional love on information sharing. In other words, no motion in the space with three variables studied in the literature in order to contribute together literature nepotizm a negative situation, such as in the face of Professional Employees, their love, their organizations in order to move forward is to reveal their impact on the sharing of information that is required. Design/methodology/approach – In the research, quantitative research model was used. Data, Malatya Province 2.Although it is located in an Organized Industrial Zone, it was obtained from managers and employees working in enterprises with the status of medium-sized SMEs. 500 people intended for the survey were applied at different times for each variable of the study in a time-Lagged style (Time Lagged). The data obtained with the questionnaires were subjected to validity, reliability, explanatory factor analysis and regression assumption analyses in the IBM SPSS 22 package program. Findings – As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that nepotism in enterprises has a negative low level, and professional love has a positive effect on the information exchange of employees at a moderate level. It has been shown that nepotism and professional love Decipher 27% variance on information sharing among employees, 6% variance on information sharing from an institutional point of view and 2% variance on information sharing from an individual point of view. Discussion – Based on the findings of the study, it may be recommended to avoid nepotism in order to increase information sharing in organizations. In particular, it should be considered that promotions should be carried out in a fair and transparent manner with an emphasis on merit. The transparency of the promotions may make it easier for candidates to be convinced that the transactions are fair. Another application that needs to be carried out to increase information sharing in organizations is to ensure that employees gain professional love. Employees should be told about what their profession has brought them through trainings and in-house events, and efforts should be made to ensure that they can love their profession and that their profession means something to them.
