Purpose – In this study, it is aimed to adapt the Attitudes Towards Cybervetting Scale developed by Cook, Jones-Chick, Roulin, and O'Rourke (2020) into Turkish. Design/methodology/approach – The study was conducted with data collected from individuals using Facebook (N=173) and LinkedIn (N=239). The findings revealed that the convergent and divergent validity of the 3-factor model was provided for the Facebook and LinkedIn samples. The predictive validity of the scale was tested with the cynical attitudes scale. Findings – According to the findings, it was determined that the dimensions of privacy invasiveness and face validity had a positive and significant effect on cynical attitudes for the LinkedIn sample. Predictive validity was partially provided for this group. Discussion – Findings show that the scale can be used as a reliable and valid measurement tool in studies to be conducted in Turkey.
