Keywords:

In this study, the aim was to assess the reliability and validity of the work-family enrichment scale in Turkish samples. For this purpose, the survey was administered in two different samples. The data was used to investigate the reliability, discriminant validity, convergent validity, and criterion validity of the scale. In order to examine the criterion validity, family life satisfaction, performance, and turnover intentions scales were utilized. Exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis revealed the two-factor structure of the scale “work-family enrichment” and “family-work enrichment” as in the original (χ2=21,504, df=8, χ2/df=2,688; TLI=0,97; CFI=0,98; RMSEA=0,072). In the study, in order to reveal the internal conssitency of the scales, Cronbach Alpha coefficient was utilized and the reliability coefficients of the subscales were found between 0,81 and 0,88. These results showed that work-family enrichment scale is a valid and reliable instrument to use in Turkish context.
