Abstract

Purpose – In this study, it was investigated how the perception of corporate social responsibility, which is one of the organizational factors underlying cyberloafing and organizational identification, affects the identification and cyberloafing levels of employees Design/methodology/approach – The research was carried out on people working in 4 and 5 star hotels in Nevşehir. The research population consists of 775 people. In the study, it was aimed to reach the full count. However, due to various reasons, 564 people were reached and they were al lowed to participate in the study. The data collected from the people working in the hotels were collected by face face-to -face survey technique. The collected data were analyzed with the SPSS program. Findings – As a result of the analyzes, it has been determined that the hotels fulfill their ethical, economic and legal responsibilities at an acceptable level and their voluntary responsibilities at a moderate level. It has been determined that the employees are id entical with their organizations, however, it has been determined that they engage in cyberloafing, albeit at a moderate level. There is a positive relationship between the perception of corporate social responsibility and organizational identifi cation; a negative relationship was found between cyberloafing level. In addition, it has been determined that there is a negative relationship between the identification levels of hotel employees and their cyberloafing levels Discussion – In the impact analysis conducted within this framework; While the positive increase in the perception of corporate social responsibility increases organizational identification; It has been found that it reduces cyberloafing.
