Determine the Relation between Perception of Organizational Justice and Level of Organizational Commitment: Study Case of Teachers

Abstract

In this research the relationship between teachers’ perception of organizational justice and their organizational commitment levels was investigated. The scope of research is comprised of teachers serving in public and foundation schools affiliated with Ministry of National Education in Turkey. A sample was taken due to the difficulty in reaching study group. The teachers in study group were enrolled from Marmara, Central Anatolia, Aegean, Black Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Eastern Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia regions. A simple coincidental sampling formula was utilized while determining the number of sample. In this research the relationship between perception of organizational justice and organizational commitment applied to 679 teachers serving in public and foundation schools affiliated with Ministry of National Education was analyzed through using data obtained from answers given to survey questions. As a result of research it was established that there was a significant relationship between teachers’ perception of organizational justice and organizational commitment levels, the strongest relationship was present between interactional justice and organizational commitment levels; however, there were significant relationships between perception of organizational justice and their organizational commitment levels in terms of certain demographic variables.
