Abstract

Purpose – Sustainable life is possible with sustainable supply chains. The Covid 19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, which emerged out in December 2019 and spread all over the world and caused significant economic and social problems, led to the understanding of the importance of supply chains once again. The aim of this study is to measure the effect of the critical success factors of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, which provides significant advantages to businesses for the planning, organization, traceability and improvement of resources and processes, on supply chain performance in the context of business flexibility. Design/methodology/approach - Konya Organized Industrial Zone was determined as the pilot area in the research. As a result of the literature review, 7 critical success factors were defined and a model was created with 8 hypotheses. After the pilot scheme, the population determined to collect the data was reached one by one, and a survey consisting of 46 statements was directed and a response rate of 47% was obtained. The obtained data were analyzed using the SPSS packaged software. Findings – In line with the analyzes carried out, it has been determined that there is a positive significant relationship between the quality of education, project management skills, project team, process improvement and compliance with information technologies factors and supply chain performance. Any statistically significant relationship was not found between top management support, organizational resistance and business flexibility and supply chain performance. Discussion – Education quality, project management skills, project team, process improvement and compliance with information technologies, which are among the critical success factors of ERP systems, which have a significant impact on business performance, also have a positive effect on supply chain performance. Business managers should understand these criteria correctly, which are also important for supply chain performance, and transition to ERP systems by making the necessary preliminaries.
