Abstract

Purpose – The aim of this study is to investigate to what extent the supports provided by TURQUALITY® Program which is implemented by Ministry of Trade meets the needs of exporters in international markets and analyze their contributions to the internationalization process of enterprises. Desing/methodology/approach – In order to investigate the contribution of the TURQUALITY® Project on firms’ internationalization process, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 7 enterprises from different sectors within the scope of the TURQUALITY® Project and data analysis of the study is conducted through descriptive analysis method. Findings – As a result of the data analysis, it is demonstrated that support programs within the scope of TURQUALITY® Project has a significant contribution on internationalization process of enterprises by means of conducting international marketing activities efficiently; however there is a need of some changes in practice on the implementation of support process. Discussion – It has been evaluated that with the help of some changes in the implementation procedures of the support process, the contributions of these supports in the internationalization process can be increased to a higher level by taking the advantage of the dynamic structure of the TURQUALITY® Program, which enables the needs of the enterprises in the international markets to be met in a wider framework.
